The Whole World’s Crazy

Gownley, J. (2006). The whole world’s crazy: Amelia rules!. New York: Atheneum Books.

Amelia’s parents just got divorced and she moved in with her mom’s sister. She meets a new group of friends and goes through life with them.

Genre: Realistic Fiction, Graphica

Grades: 4-7th

Audience: Parents, Teachers, Students

I would give this book a three. Though I found many moments in the book endearing, I did not really like the art all that much and felt that some insults made by the characters to be very rude and mean-spirited.

How many of you have read comic books before?
