Readers who will like this book: Young readers who are interested in learning about different types of families and more about what a family is will enjoy this book.

Personal response/rating: I rate this book a 4, because I like how the author notes that no family is the same. I think it is important that all readers know that there are multiple different characteristics in families. The only thing I wonder about this book is what is the purpose behind all black and white illustrations?

Question I would ask before the reading: What is your definition of a family?
